Terms of Service — Montamap

Welcome to Montamap, a global platform connecting explorers, local guides, and adventure communities worldwide. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access and use of our platform, services, mobile apps, and related features (collectively, the “Service”).

Please read these Terms carefully. By accessing or using Montamap, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Our Role

Montamap acts as a technology provider and marketplace for adventure experiences. We do not organize or operate treks, nor act as an agent or representative for local guides, porters, or travel operators. All services listed on Montamap are provided by independent third-party providers.

2. Eligibility

To use Montamap, you must be at least 18 years old or of legal age in your country. By using the platform, you confirm that:

• All information provided is accurate and up-to-date
• You will comply with all local laws during your adventure
• You are responsible for your own safety and decisions during any outdoor activity

3. User Responsibility

You understand that all trekking, hiking, or outdoor exploration involves inherent risks, including injury, weather-related hazards, or loss of property. Montamap is not liable for any incident that occurs before, during, or after your trip.

You agree to:

• Respect local cultures, communities, and natural environments
• Use the SOS and emergency features responsibly
• Avoid misuse of community features (spamming, hate speech, misleading reviews)

4. Platform Status

Montamap is currently a pre-registered startup project under development and not yet incorporated as a legal entity in any jurisdiction. Services are offered in beta for exploratory and pilot use. Use of this platform is at your own discretion and you acknowledge the experimental nature of certain features.

5. Content & Intellectual Property

All content on Montamap (text, logos, icons, map data, software, etc.) is the intellectual property of Montamap or its licensors. You may not:

• Copy, resell, or republish our content
• Extract or scrape our databases or map information
• Use our brand assets without permission

You retain ownership of your photos, reviews, and content you share—but grant Montamap a non-exclusive license to display and distribute that content.

6. Payments & Bookings

Payments made through the platform (when available) are processed by third-party providers. Montamap does not collect or hold payment information directly. All bookings are made between the user and the listed service provider. Montamap is not responsible for refund policies, cancellations, or service delivery unless explicitly stated.

7. Community Guidelines

We are building a global, ethical, and supportive hiking community. By using Montamap, you agree to:

• Post truthful, respectful, and non-discriminatory content
• Refrain from harassment or manipulation of ratings
• Support local and sustainable tourism where possible

Violations may result in account suspension or removal without notice.

8. Disclaimer of Warranty

Montamap is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee:

• Availability of trails, guides, or partners in your region
• Accuracy of weather forecasts, trail data, or maps
• That our platform will always be error-free or uninterrupted

Use of our platform is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Montamap shall not be liable for:

• Personal injury or death during any expedition
• Losses due to inaccurate listings or service delays
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of Montamap after changes means you accept the revised Terms. We will publish the effective date on this page.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by general principles of international digital service agreements. Local laws of the user’s country may also apply. Any disputes shall be resolved informally first, before considering legal steps.
